BIOGRAPHY

Hadi Teherani was born in 1954, Tehran. He is creative head of Hadi Teherani AG design company, is well-known for his successful architectural work with his Hamburg-based team BRT Architekten, Bothe, Richter, Teherani. He received his schooling in Hamburg, then went on to study in Braunschweig and to teach at Aachen’s Technical University. Quite exceptionally, he began his career as a fashion designer in Cologne before completely dedicating himself to architecture and becoming a celebrated name in that field. Teherani is member of Hamburg’s Academy of the Arts (Akademie der Künste) and has a made a name for himself internationally.

 

Today, many prolific buildings around the world can be credited to his creativity and entrepreneurial spirit, many of them distinctive landmarks in cityscapes of large global cities. He founded the design company carrying his name, Hadi Teherani AG, in 2003 as an outlet for his complete approach to design, producing products for everyday use and allowing him to make most of his visionary qualities as a designer. Interior Design made in Germany and awards for outstanding industrial design are the claim to fame of Hadi Teherani AG.  He and his partner live on Hamburg’s Alster in a house that he designed. Apart from two offices, in Hamburg, in the newly developed and thriving Hafen-City area and on the outskirts of historic Old town, Hadi Teherani also runs branches in Moscow, Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
